Building

Maddie said this was our home...she built by herself (with a little help from me). The Early Steps Occupational Therapist came to visit Maddie this week to see how her progress was from a year ago when she last saw her. Mrs. Amy said it was like a totally different kid. Back then she as sleepy, not really communicating, physically not up to par, and overall behind compared to her peers. She even felt Maddie was exhibiting some Autistic tendencies. Well, she was amazed and thrilled to see Maddie again and how far she has come. I was quite proud as she "passed" all the tests, questions, requests. Even some advanced things like 2-3 step commands and Maddie's self sufficiency thrilled Mrs. Amy. Gerald, Abby, and I are pleased with her emerging personality and silliness. She is still laid back and shy...but she can surely come up with some stuff!!
