Busy, busy, busy....

The next few months are going to nuts. As October is the month LA Attorney's get admitted to the Bar I will have a lot to do for work. I have already committed 10 hours of overtime so we can stay on track and not fall behind.

My walls around the house need painting so will take a day off soon to re-paint and do some Spring, well Summer, I mean Fall cleaning. I love painting...find it very relaxing and therapeutic. Plus it's a day away from work. :-)

Halloween is approaching and the search will begin for costumes. Asked Abby to wear her Toy Story Little Bo Peep costume again this year. Tried to rationalize that with Toy Story 3 out recently it is still "current"..no such luck. She has her eyes on a few "goth" costumes. And so the battle will ensue.... No clue about Maddie, probably something like Elmo or Dora. I am not good with "creating" Halloween costumes so its off the rack for us...

Abby will be getting a new bedroom this Xmas so we need to start looking for a more mature comforter set then decide upon wall color and furnishings. So far she keeps looking at black/white and hot pink or bright purple. Again, so the battle will ensue.... Maddie will get Abby's stuff and we just need to re-paint the walls. Luckily she is too young to realize hand me downs are not too cool. We will also transition her to full size bed and Craig's List the baby bed/dresser. No more babies for me.... furniture must go.

Squeeze in LCPS school fair, Capital One events we may be able to go to, meetings and appointments, school work and tests. Plus Abby's Girl Scouts, Spanish lessons, CCD, Soccer, & now possibly a book club (classmate wants to start it on Friday nights).....Oct - Dec is gonna be crazy! But I seem to function better when things are busy.

Heard this on radio this AM, I will try to heed the message: Feeling "comfortable" is nice, but it's when you are feeling comfortable and you challenge yourself to do something more is when you get a great sense of worth. While challenging yourself can be "uncomfortable" there is a sense of accomplishment when you take something that you ordinarily would do and turn it into something extraordinary!

My take on this: If you are comfortable walking 5 blocks why not walk 10! Yea, it might hurt, you might get leg cramps, back may have spasms, will get hot/sweaty.....BUT you will have a wonderful sense of accomplishment! LOL
