Time to move farther back in the church. Maddie is way too vocal now adays and it always seems she does most of her talking during the Gospel or the Homily. This Sunday she decided she needed "More Juice!!" when Rev. Tran was delivering his homily. I quickly got up to bring her to family area and Rev. Tran advised it's OK and motions for me to sit. We sit almost at the back of the church and he heard us....I was mortified, said it's OK, and quickly headed to the bathroom with Maddie.
And I thought last week was bad when she was saying (loudly) how her baby had "yucky poopie" and "have to wipe your hynie" during the Homily.
Thus we are relegated to the back of the church until she understands how to behave. She just is not getting that Jesus is watching us and we need to be quiet.
On the flip side, we love how she knows when to stand, sit, kneel, sit....us Catholics get a workout! Sings holy, holy and alleluyia. Walks up to altar to make her kid's donation (high 5'd the Rev. Tran 2 weeks ago). And greets fellow parishoners and wishing them peace be with you.
We went through the same thing with Abby while in Houston and chose to stop going until moving back to Slidell. Now that Abby can take communion and we have made a commitment as a family to attend every week we will have to grin and bear it with Maddie for a little while.
