2:30pm Well the rain never came and it has been sunny and beautiful. The lazy river wasn't so lazy as we had to paddle ourselves but then Gerald saw a button to press that made the jets come on...then we were able to relax and enjoy it. Maddie enjoyed floating in the lazy river than playing in the kiddie pool. Around 10:00 more little kids started showing up (with lots more pool toys!) but by that time she was tired of that pool. Abby has been snorkeling and swimming and did not want to take a break to eat lunch. Have not seen any kids her age to play with so she's been hanging with her folks. After lunch Maddie and I bathed and put on our comfy duds to take a nap around 1:45pm...it's 2:30 and she is still snoozing. Gerald and Abby went back and swam to give us some quiet time (you know Abby can be a little loud and/or talkative).
Gerald and I might take the girls to Lulu's tonight. Lulu's is a cool Caribbean style restaurant in town, with stuff for the kids to do like sand pit, obstacle course, games. Adults can enjoy the outdoor bar, band, walking on the pier. Lulu is Jimmy Buffett's sister.....lately I have been seeing her on commercials promoting the Gulf Coast and tourism. Anyway, we went there when Maddie was just born and am looking forward to another trip there. I think the girls will have a great time with the sand (note to self, bring extra set of clothes) and Gerald and I may try a Loopty Lu or the Jet Ski Killer. Tequila or rum, tequila or rum...which do I want?

3:00pm Gerald just came back to room to get some drinks and said a family from Metairie arrived with kids Abby's age so she is playing with them. Apparently they bought one of the condo's right after Hurricane Katrina and they owe a lot more than it's worth....plus monthly dues are $1100. Ouch! Better sign off for now as I hear Maddie waking up. Will post some pictures this evening from Lulu's. http://www.lulubuffett.com/ Later.....
