Our trip to the Big D

Gerald and I flew off to Dallas on Tuesday.  Gerald was nominated by Capital One for the Volunteer of the Year Award and will travel to Virginia next week for the ceremony.   But because of this honor he (and me!) was also invited by President of Financial Services to attend his Qtly. Circle of Excellence dinner at the snazzy III Forks Restaurant.  We spent a few hours walking around the Galleria Mall drooling at all those stores I cannot afford to shop in.  We had a nice lunch then headed off to check in at the hotel.  Next we threw on our new fancy duds and had a lovely dinner at III Forks   No time to tool around on Wednesday as had to head back home this afternoon.  We had a nice time but we missed the girls.   Good luck to Gerald next week....although being recognized is wonderful and an honor.  I am very proud of him.
