My prayers and thoughts go out to those affected by the Connecticut school shooting. All I could think today as news releases came out is that both my girls are of the same age as these children. How horrible a thought to lose a child, especially one that is just starting out in life, so young and defenseless, so innocent and lovely. It's tragedies like this that make you question your faith. Why on earth would someone want to do this to children and why on earth was someone allowed to do this. Both of my girls are with their Poppie and KK but as soon as they get home I will kiss and squeeze them and thank God for giving us another day together. All the trials and tribulations of parenthood seem so silly when tragedies occur. I have lived a long life and experienced many things so if something were to happen to me, it is OK. But children that have not even begun to experience life? With the state of our country and the road we are heading to, perhaps it is best. I hate to think what society will be like when Abby and Maddie are grown. It sure has changed a lot in my lifetime.
Please keep those families in Connecticut in your thoughts and prayers and tell your kids/grandkids/nieces/nephews/friends/etc. that you love them. God bless.
PS-Makes me realize how silly it is to get upset over my Xmas cards and makes me question my rant in the below post. :-(
