Wasn't it snowing here last time? Yes Abby and we will be back during Christmas time to see the snow again.

Yes, Maddie ate a chocolate chip cookie with CRICKETS! Mom did too and was pretty tasty....plus makes you want to run and hop around.
Maddie got her "I ate a bug!" stamp as did mom and dad. But Abby was too chicken to eat a bug.

Abby's Science project was to find 5 pictures of Invertebrates and 5 pictures of Vertebrates and label them. Abby and I did not have much success on Saturday......we got some pictures of dried up worms ans stuffed animals, boring! Gerald came up with a great idea, let's go the the Audubon Aquarium & Insectarium. Abby was thrilled and Maddie really got into it this time. We grabbed a nice dinner at the Grand Isle Restaurant on Fulton Street. Next we headed home, downloaded the pics, then printed the pics out and labeled them. They will create the project in class this week...personally I think Abby will have the most "realistic" project and there was no way we could have captured the variety of vertebrates and invertebrates any other way. What a good way to learn about something....hands-on, up close, and in-person. Well perhaps not too close or hands on. :-)
