no more hair bows, prefers hair straight and tucked behind her ears. getting picky about clothing and wanting to choose own outfits. requesting privacy please. i mention 1 thing to the teacher at parent-teacher meeting her friend asks "what parent asked a question about social studies?" we have discussions about 9-11 and other serious stuff. nighttime reading is no more since i don't want to get involved in a chapter book.
what's next...."mom, you are embarrassing me". i can just hear it now. ;-{ i mentioned last night about the Mother Load blog site and about the 6th grader not being cool. explained to abby that she will not have a tv or computer in her room, no cell phone for a while....she said i know mom! told gerald let's see how she responds to this in a year or so. don't think she will be so "understanding".
where is my little abby? thank goodness i have maddie to fulfill this need to "take care of someone". although she is quite independent soooo....perhaps a pet?
