Reading time...

The girls and I did something we rarely get to do....the 3 of us sat on Abby's bed and read 3 of the new books Maddie got for her Birthday. They really liked the Time Out, Buzzy book, The Birthday Box, & a book with various nursery rhymes. Maddie really did not wiggle around and Abby was pretty focused. Was such a wonderful few minutes and I went to sleep with a smile and a warm feeling in my heart. Only wish we could make this a nightly event....but work, clothes, cleaning, etc. seem to take precedence.

Reading has always been a ritual bewteen Abby & I. But since she has grown up and taste in books changed plus the birth of a second child this ritual has fallen by the wayside. I must try to keep this up....
